2024 Activations:

Support for "A Soul Stage"

I am excited to present "A Soul Stage," a groundbreaking event designed to spotlight the future of soul music by showcasing emerging and influential soul artists. Scheduled for October or November 2024 at Creative Alliance, this initiative builds on the success of last year’s sold-out performances at the Patterson Theater—an achievement that saw ticket sales three times higher than any local artist in the area.

“A Soul Stage” seeks to amplify the voices of remarkable soul artists in Baltimore, connecting them to global opportunities and resources. As we look to expand on our previous success, our goal is to further elevate and champion the genre of soul music, continuing our tradition of partnering with local Black-owned businesses such as Adorn Vintage Furniture, Stem and Vine, Rebekah Rose, Gold Room Rehearsal Studio, Time Printers, Mogul Printing and more.

By supporting "A Soul Stage," you will play a crucial role in propelling soul music forward, Black artistry, enriching the cultural fabric of Baltimore, and fostering new talent that will shape the future of the genre. Join us in this transformative journey to celebrate and elevate soul music on a grand scale.

Financial Goals and Future Vision

Our immediate goal for "A Soul Stage" is to raise between $5,000 and $10,000 to ensure a high-quality production of this event at the Patterson Theater. These funds will support all aspects of the show, from artist fees and venue costs to marketing and production expenses.

Looking ahead, we envision "A Soul Stage" evolving into a prominent annual festival. With your support, we aim to lay the groundwork this year for a larger-scale festival in the coming years, significantly expanding our budget to accommodate a broader array of artists, enhanced production values, and increased community engagement. Your investment will not only contribute to the success of this year's event but also help us build a sustainable platform for celebrating and advancing soul music in Baltimore.
